Whatever your favorite restaurant is, it’s about to become your second-favorite. To anyone asking for restaurant recommendations, this is what I suggest. Little Baobab claims to be a “village” and it really is — a one-building village. Foremost, the food is amazing. It’s a unique combination of flavors that really don’t compare to other cuisines. My personal go-to is the Dibi with fufu (glutinous potato-starch), fried plantains with yogurt. The house cocktails are excellent and have flavors such as tamarind and jamaica.
Beyond the food though, they feature nightly live music usually featuring Senegalese instruments, and on the weekends it turns into a dance floor with a DJ at night. The atmosphere is lively and friendly, there are always regulars just enjoying the evening. Whether you’re looking for a quick place to grab lunch or somewhere to spend your evening, this is the spot. Go and you’ll instantly be cooler than all your friends.
