Being a coffee goer, I’ve been to countless coffee shops in San Francisco. However, there is one that stands alone. Let’s put this spot in the “badass coffee”category. I mean, this place makes me feel like becoming a skater girl or like a rough surfer girl. If this coffee shop had a movie personality, it would be Point Break. Folks, I’m talking about Trouble Coffee Co. in the outer Sunset avenues. A visit to this coffee shop will instantly wake you up to something original. It possesses an unavoidable ode to another time in San Francisco. Like, maybe the '90s.
You can have your coffee with two types of dark roast. The names of these beans are “elbow grease” and “the hammer”. If that doesn’t tell it like it is, then I don’t know what will. These beans will kick you in the face and you’ll absolutely grow hair on your chest and toes! Pair your beastly strong coffee with their comforting, and oh so good, Peanut Butter, Banana, and Honey toast too! Trouble Coffee Co. has a totally authentic mission. It’s unapologetically itself, it’s a matter of fact, honest, and wants you to be you. It’s the kind of coffee shop that makes you want to be bold in your choices and in life. I’ll drink an elbow grease iced latte to that! Go on, get yourself in Trouble Coffee.
