One of the best barbecue places in the city is found at the edge of "Debar Maalo", the most Bohemian neighborhood in Skopje. This little venue is called "DM" and I don't know what the initials stand for. What I do know is that you'll probably want to skip your breakfast, brunch and snacks, before you head to lunch or dinner at this place. Because we are talking about SERIOUS amounts of delicious food.
The place doesn't seem like much from the outside, nor from the inside, but don't judge the book... Just sit, relax, and start ordering from the menu filled with Macedonian barbecue specialties. Also, you'll probably want to make a reservation because coming across a free table is very unlikely to happen.
Start with Macedonian Salad and grilled cheese, that goes really well with Rakija (I'm sure by now you all know what that is). Throw in a bowl of Pindzur and some grilled bread or Nafora (grilled bread + grated cheese). Then order Pork Ribs, Sharska Burger, Chicken Zezalica or a pair of sausages, and finish with the Rakija and start with beer or some Macedonian wine.
Once more, the amount of food you'll get in a portion is pretty massive, so don't say I didn't warn you about the calories. :)
