The Hunter's Lodge "Kamnik" is located on the outskirts of the city, just take the highway from the center towards the Airport and you will see a big billboard on your left hand side. It's a hunting ground, shooting range, Hotel & Restaurant, and even an Enoteca inside a Chateaux, all in one. Since I've never been hunting, and I'm not much of a shooting fan, I will skip that part and turn to the food and wine.
The restaurant is famous for its wild game dishes, which have been hunted on their own ground. Its mighty interior, lots of fur and hunting trophies, will undoubtedly make you feel like you are in a cabin somewhere in the woods. I would suggest you try a three-course meal, one that you can easily arrange to suit best to your liking. First, try the soup from pheasants, then order some hedgehog pâté with bread and maybe some type of salad. For the main course, you can try wild boar or deer meat, or maybe a wild rabbit.
The establishment has its own vineyards and wine factory, that produces high quality white and red wine. Order a bottle with the food, preferably red with the wild game dishes, and enjoy a dinner in the wilderness.
