About me

About me
My name is Marit, and I am a program secretary for the renovation of the Palace of Justice in The Hague. I moved to The Hague to study in 2016 and I have recently obtained my second master's in Asian Studies. Therefore, I am interested in East Asian culture. I like to cook, I love to watch series (especially Korean and Chinese ones). I enjoy walking or cycling through the city and I love to have drinks with my friends.

Why The Hague?
I really enjoy living in The Hague. I would describe it as the perfect city as there is history, nature, and culture. You can find every type of cuisine, many different stores, important historical buildings, the beach, parks and so on. It is convenient to move around in, as there are many public transport options, like trams and buses, but it is also really doable by bike or foot. The city also keeps surprising you, if you are willing to be surprised by it, my advice is to take different routes and wander into new areas.

Homemade Korean Food

The menu is handwritten and includes photos of the menu items for those who are not that familiar with Korean food. I love their kimbap and bibimbap!

A refreshing dive

I find the swimming pool De Blinkerd one of the most relaxing places in The Hague and the building is interesting as well as it is a dome.
