In Tbilisi we have a few parks where you can take long walks and just chill. One of them is Expo Georgia, which is not well known, but for me is the best. It is on Akaki Tsereteli avenue, and it is an exhibition center as well. There you can find 11 pavilions and all of them except one are Soviet buildings. There are also a few Soviet statues scattered on the grounds.
Expo Georgia was built in 1958 by the Soviet government and since then it hasn’t stopped functioning. All together it's 5000 square meters and it is a great place for picnics, children or dogs.
In the middle of the park there is a beautiful restaurant “terrace” close to the little pond. The atmosphere is simply amazing, it is very cozy and distinguished by vintage details. My favorite dish there is the chicken and avocado salad. The portion is huge two or three people can share it. And it’s the most delicious salad I’ve ever eaten.
