Though the cable car might not be on most local lists of things to do and see in Tbilisi, I always enjoy a bird's-eye view of the city, so I take it whenever I have to show people around. Drones were banned in Georgia in 2017, so taking cable car is the only opportunity one can have to see the city while moving above it. It's lovely day or night, and at 2 Gel it is certainly worth it.
The view is split between seeing the gorgeous Bridge of Peace to the right and the Old Town on the left all while soaring above the river. I have never run into a line, so it can be a fun and spontaneous ride if you happen to be in the Old Town. The Tbilisi cable car is for anyone who loves a bird's eye view and who is not afraid of heights. The cable car takes you from Rike Park to Narikala Fortress.
