If you know the history of the name of Tbilisi, then you would know that we are known as a place of natural sulfur waters. You can find several sulfur baths in the city, especially in the old city, but this time I am going to share with you my favorite Tbilisi Balneological resort which was created in 1938. This is the place I trust most, it’s a modern interior bath with a clean environment, pleasant staff and many other benefits apart from the sulfur bath. Here you can find spa procedures, rectal showers which are also popular for people who suffer from gastrointestinal problems, mud procedures etc.
When I first tried a sulfur bath, my skin was so gentle and soft afterward, like the skin of a baby. It’s really something you should try while you're in Tbilisi -- it's great in the morning before sightseeing, or after a long and tiring day.
Also, it’s great until summer, before you take a sunbath: with these procedures you can get rid of dead skin and meet the sun with new, softer skin. The natural waters are good for everything and everyone!
It should only be noted that if you can’t take hot showers then this place might be a little uncomfortable for you, as it may hinder your breath. But I think for 15-30 minutes, this bath should be great for everyone.
