There is always time for ice cream, and I think it’s a no-brainer for many locals of The Hague that Piet Artisans of Flavour simply does the best ice cream in town. They have many flavours: some of them change around a bit with the season, there are vegan ice-cream options and also a tasting menu, which I find very handy if you’re the curious type yet at the same time don’t know what to go for.
The people of Piet Artisans of Flavour are what the name promises—artisans. Never ever have I tasted Halva flavoured ice cream before, and I think it has since probably become one of my favourite flavours. Piet Artisans of Flavour is located on Piet Heinstraat in the centre of The Hague—an adorable and lively street with many cafés, restaurants and shops—and is a clean, modern and stylish-looking establishment. There is limited indoor seating, but in warmer months, there are plenty of chairs and tables outside. Once you have the ice cream in your hands, I can recommend just strolling up and down the street—you will see so much. Look up at the second and third floor of the buildings—often they have amazing paintings and woodwork around the windows and on the roofs.
Piet Artisan of Flavours might not be the cheapest at 4,90 for 2 scoops, but their high-quality ice cream just does taste different. Go on, treat yourself!
