Piet Artisans of Flavour The Hague

Ice cream heaven

Karoline from The Hague

About me My name is Karoline, and I moved to The Hague at the end of 2022 with my husband. We moved to The Hague simply because we wanted to: an extremely privileged position and a decision we haven’t regretted for one second. I am passionate about nature, spending time outdoors, swimming in the sea (yes, even in winter) and discovering new places. I started running about two years ago and i...
"The people of Piet Artisans of Flavour are what the name promises—artisans. They have many flavours including vegan ice-cream options and a tasting menu."

There is always time for ice cream, and I think it’s a no-brainer for many locals of The Hague that Piet Artisans of Flavour simply does the best ice cream in town. They have many flavours: some of them change around a bit with the season, there are vegan ice-cream options and also a tasting menu, which I find very handy if you’re the curious type yet at the same time don’t know what to go for.

The people of Piet Artisans of Flavour are what the name promises—artisans. Never ever have I tasted Halva flavoured ice cream before, and I think it has since probably become one of my favourite flavours. Piet Artisans of Flavour is located on Piet Heinstraat in the centre of The Hague—an adorable and lively street with many cafés, restaurants and shops—and is a clean, modern and stylish-looking establishment. There is limited indoor seating, but in warmer months, there are plenty of chairs and tables outside. Once you have the ice cream in your hands, I can recommend just strolling up and down the street—you will see so much. Look up at the second and third floor of the buildings—often they have amazing paintings and woodwork around the windows and on the roofs.

Piet Artisan of Flavours might not be the cheapest at 4,90 for 2 scoops, but their high-quality ice cream just does taste different. Go on, treat yourself!

We moved to The Hague simply because we wanted to: an extremely privileged position and a decision we haven’t regretted for one second. I am passionate about nature, spending time outdoors, swimming in the sea (yes, even in winter) and discovering new places. I started running about two years ago and it has been life-changing. I travel a lot (sometimes for work, sometimes for leisure), and running has enabled me to see an abundance of beautiful places and animals on this planet. When I’m done with ...
