I find the swimming pool De Blinkerd one of the most relaxing places in The Hague. I love to go for a swim there and collect my thoughts. They offer different types of activities, there is more competitive swimming, there are periods where you can play in the water, there is aqua jogging and other activities. The building is interesting, as it is a dome and the facilities are clean and the employees are kind. There are two different pools, one for little children and a 25-meter pool which includes a one-meter and three-meter diving board.
Next to the building of the swimming pool is a caged basketball and football field. Additionally, there is a calisthenics park. These are both freely accessible 24 hours a day. This is also a nice place to train or to add exercises to a run. It is great to have this place in the middle of a neighborhood, as it promotes exercise and makes it accessible for all residents.
