Avanti pizza is next to the University of Thessaloniki, a few steps from Kamara. It is a pizzeria with big slices of pizza, for € 1, or even for € 0.80. They are delicious, and it's the best lunch for those who don't have time to cook. We often go there after our lectures. I can eat one slice of pizza, but my friends usually eat two slices, easily. You can also find sweet pizza, with merenda or with anything you like. When you are in this neighborhood, you can find 3 or 4 places like Avanti pizza. "Golden", which is the oldest pizzeria with pizza for € 0.80, or "Chris" the newest one.
These places I think are worth "eating", especially if you are not familiar with Greek cuisine. They are tasty and cheap, and you can find a variety of different flavours of pizza. I usually go for the simple one, but they also have pizza slices for vegetarians.
