Ypsilon, a traditional inn from the 19th century and a characteristic example of neoclassical architecture, has become a hot new entry in Thessaloniki’s nightlife! A team of six young entrepreneurs with a background in theater and arts, took upon themselves to restore and renovate the building, aiming for a different approach to coffee, drinking and dining.
The future holds many surprises for the visitor, such as various performances and gigs, but for now the elegant, industrial and minimalistic environment already provides additional treats, such as an exhibition of decoration pieces you can actually buy! The artistic perspective is reflected in every aspect of the place.
The recreational uses of the ground floor and the working spaces of the first floor promise an interesting blend of people and interactions; the founding six made sure to reflect that on Ypsilon’s banner: a rooster on heels!
Try my favorite cocktail, "Adio Guadeloupe", to skyrocket your self-confidence and feel like kissing the Caribbean sea.
It's not easy to describe the types of people you'll meet there and that's a fascinating thing with hot new entries. Just pop in and see what the fuss is all about!
