Lake Farka is located in the southern part of Tirana, only 15 minutes from the city center, making it conveniently accessible to both visitors and inhabitants.
This region is noted for its natural heritage, biodiversity, and beautiful mountain landscapes. When I go there, usually at night, I always can hear the sounds of frogs by the lake, the tranquility of the lake and everything sounds so perfect and relaxing.
When compared to Tirana center, the lake has clearer air. It’s a fantastic way to get away from the city’s noises and routine. You can go and take a walk anytime you want, to clear your mind of negative thoughts (trust me, it works), to have a wonderful picnic or BBQ with a view by the lake, or to have a coffee at the small cafe nearby the lake.
The Parks and Recreation Agency has transformed Lake Farka into a destination for visitors of all ages who want to spend a few calm hours away from the city.
