Mulliri I Vjetër is one of the first chain cafes in Tirana. I like it because it's self-service. I find it very interesting and it reminds me of Starbucks, which we do not have in Albania. Mulliri I Vjetër is a combination of an interesting old name, which means the Old Mill, with the self-service peculiarity which seems a bit modern, or in other words, not that usual in Albania.
Mulliri I Vjetër is one of those cafes, which is almost full every time I go there. Mulliri I Vjetër also offers typical sweets which you cannot resist. I am not a fan of sweets but every time I go to Mulliri I Vjetër I firstly check on the sweets, even though I end up only having my coffee, like always and everywhere.
I would recommend it for sure to friends or visitors who want to explore Tirana like the locals. Furthermore, I love that I can have take away coffee from Mulliri I Vjetër. But do not expect to find beer there.
PS: See you at Mulliri i Vjeter at Elbasnai Street, everyday, from Monday-Friday, before going to work. Only after I taste my macchiato from there does the day start for me.
