2017 was a year of many activities and new cultural projects. In Tirana there is a Presidential Palace called Pallati i Brigadave or Pallati Presidencial, left from the King Zog Era, built in 1936, and it was always talked about but it was not open for visits. A few months ago, the government decided to open it for the public. Everyone is free to visit it now every weekend.
My first visit there was during an event and let me tell you this; I was amazed by every corner of it. It may not be the biggest and fanciest palace but the royal feeling was everywhere. It is left untouched the way it was back then, with all the original furniture. Tall rooms, fantastic paintings on the walls, the fanciest mirrors I have ever seen, carpets covering all the huge rooms, and the most special part: the gardens. The presidential palace is known for its fantastic gardens covering a large area, although the palace is only three floors.
I had read about it but the feeling it gave me entering there is something you can only experience by visiting it, I highly recommend dedicating a few hours from your Saturday to it!
