Located in the Blloku area of town, Smokehouse Bar and Grill is very easily accessible from all areas of Tirana, and serves some of the best steak. It is by far the most welcoming restaurant I have been in in a long time, and their food is absolutely incredible. From the second you step foot into this cosy restaurant, the servers will make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. It really is clear that they are all very proud of what they have created, and it is as though you have stepped into their home.
When I first visited Smokehouse, the owner actually personally served our table, which was a lovely experience. He was very kind and offered us some free local cheeses to try as an appetizer and explained all the food as he brought it out, it is clear there is a real passion here. I love the way they serve not only good quality Albanian Beef, but also champion local farmers and producers.
To top off our experience, once we had had our fill of steak, fries and salad, the owner offered us a traditional dessert on the house which just shows how appreciated their customers are. I would really suggest that you visit Smokehouse not only for good food but to learn more about the local producers and to feel welcomed as if at home.
