I can't count the times I have met my best friend and have started walking together to an undefined direction for hours without having a clear idea where we were going. Now that Toptani shopping center is built we know where to go when we don't know where to go.
The fact that Toptani is located near the center of the city makes it the most easily accessible 'all in one' place in town. Having that in mind, I am always in the mood for "gliding" to some of its 60,000 square meters (organized in 8 floors of retail shops), mostly the part where cosmetic & beauty products or clothing & underwear shops are. Spending unpredictable amounts of money just because I like the atmosphere around is the habit I will never give up on, unfortunately. I usually end up buying stuff I don't need but that is ok as long as it makes me feel good.
I have named the best part after I'm done with the uncontrollable purchases "the after shopping". During this time i take the elevator to the sixth floor, where most of the coffee and snack bars are, just to enjoy the great view from the top.
Besides all of the above, the graceful architecture of Toptani shopping center is something that cannot be left without mentioning. And I still want to post that mainstream picture that everybody else has posted on Instagram with The Plaza Tirana on the background.
A narrow hallway just behind the Et'hem Bey Mosque, near the municipal hall, gives the best view of the clock tower that was constructed back in 1822,
