Enoteca Prunotto was a great discovery for me! Since a friend of mine told me about this wine bar, I went there several times because it is the right place to relax after a day in the office.
During the day, this place is actually a wine shop that serves coffee as well (if you need to buy a good bottle of wine, this is the right place because the owners are really prepared to give you advice), but starting from the afternoon, you can stop here to have a glass of wine.
This place is super easy-going, and the thing I like a lot about it is that you will see young and old local people in a friendly atmosphere.
There are no places to sit; there are some wine barrels around the bar and you just stand. This aspect makes this place, in my opinion, even more special and authentic.
There are many local wines you can taste (I really like Ruchè, but you can try Barbera, Barbaresco, Dolcetto, Arneis) and if you want they can also offer you some local cheese and salami.
They also have lots of kinds of “grappa”, that is a local distilled beverage (made from grape) that we usually drink after dinner (it contains 35 to 60 percent alcohol by volume); you should definitely taste some!
