Le Panche is a small cocktail bar in the area of Borgo Rossini, just on the other side of the Dora River. The bar itself is pretty small and consists of a couple of small rooms with the counter and a some high tables with stools. The real bar is outside, in the pedestrian area just in front.
When the bar opened there didn't exist a proper outdoors -- customers just used to grab a drink and sit on the public benches of the square. This is the reason why the bar is called "Le Panche", which in Italian means "The Benches". Now they have a lot of tables and chairs spread all over the outside area in between the original benches.
Le Panche is a nice place to have an easy and cheap drink (beer, spritz, cocktails) with friends after work and especially during the aperitivo hours (from opening till 19:30) when they have the happy hour formula.
The bar is close to a University campus so it is really popular with the student community.
What I love about Le Panche is the super relaxed vibe. You just sit there, enjoy a nice view over the square and the riverside, and sip a drink while chatting with your mates.
