Opened in March 2023, this market is located in what had been the facilities of the old Vila printing house, founded in 1908. Situated just 300 meters from the Joaquín Sorolla Station and very close to Plaza España, it is hidden at the end of a pedestrian street. The aim was to preserve not only the main building but also the adjoining streets and homes where the printing house workers lived, an example of the city's industrial past.
Inside, its essence has been respected, maintaining the initial architecture: brick walls, ceramic floors and original signs. The space, widely decorated with palm trees, consists of a large central bar and 21 stalls dedicated to local and international cuisine, cocktails and sweets.
Admission is free, and you don't have to reserve; you order directly at each stall and there are areas with high and low tables to enjoy the food calmly. I especially recommend the baos from Baovan. I love the pulled pork one, and they also have vegan options! It is open from Monday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to midnight, so it is perfect for eating or snacking at any time of the day. I recommend you check its agenda in advance because there are always activities to enjoy there.
