If you love coffee, books, or all-day-long desserts, Ubik Café is your place.
Ubik Café is a unique spot that combines a bookshop, cultural centre, and café. With its relaxed living room feel, Ubik is one of my favourites in Valencia. I can spend hours reading at the table by the window, watching people stroll by.
New and second-hand copies fill the book-lined walls, perfect for browsing. I especially like Ubik's graphic novel collection. The café serves both vegetarian and meat dishes, all fresh and affordable. You can order desserts all day long, which is quite tempting. They're all great, but my favourite is the cheesecake with blueberry jam. A separate work area is on the side, so you can enjoy your drink in the main café without feeling guilty about not working.
Ubik has a lot going on, with regular activities like art exhibitions, live music, wine tastings, and a reading club. The Spanish know how to party, even among the books. The café also offers language exchanges and creative workshops. To see what's coming up, look at Ubik's social media.
Ubik Café is located in the heart of Ruzafa, Valencia's trendiest neighbourhood, surrounded by charming shops and art galleries. Take a stroll to enjoy these little gems, and don't forget to look up at the beautiful Art Deco facades. If you want to see the most stunning one, see the Casa Judiá article.

One of my fondest memories of the city during summer is sitting by their giant-red-plastic cone and cooling down while having a delicious treat.
