Until March 25th, 2025, in the Bombas Gens Centre d'Arts Digitals in Valencia, you can experience an immersive journey to the heart of Ancient Egypt. In this exciting journey, the gods of the pyramid land are awakened, and grand temples spring to life before your eyes.
Ancient Egypt's poetic and dreamlike universe meets large-format projections, interactive installations, holograms, virtual reality and artificial intelligence. I enjoyed the projections showing how the precious temples and pyramids were built among the desert sands and generous waters of the Nile. I learned the story of the sensative discovery of the untouched tomb of the young pharaoh Tutankhamun by British archaeologist Howard Carter in November 1922. I laughed over the Artificial Intelligence transformation of my photo to some Ancient Egyptian. But the virtual reality trip to the Tutankhamun tomb was completely astonishing.
You just put on the VR glasses and find yourself lying in the sarcophagus of the tomb of Tutankhamun himself! You wake up and go along all the underground premises of the tomb enjoying beautiful paintings around, counting the buried treasures and admiring the achievements of the ancient civilization. I have been to Egypt once, and it was an absolutely unique experience, but here you really feel you lived there many thousands of years ago!
