La Marina, Valencia's beautiful harbour, offers breathtaking views of luxury yachts and the sea.
As you wander through Valencia's historic old town, you might easily forget that the city also has a coast. The harbour has a unique atmosphere and is located next to the beach, with easy access by metro or bike.
When you arrive at the beach, walk south along the promenade and the wide beach. After a short stroll, you will reach the harbour. It has two areas: the Puerto for shipping and the Marina for the public, with many attractions.
What's interesting about the Marina is its mix of historic and modern buildings. The old dock sheds, known as Tinglados, still stand, along with the Edificio del Reloj, which serves as the port's main office. The harbour's architectural eye-catcher is the hyper-modern Veles e Vents building, which features restaurants and live music. It's lovely to sit on the quay here and enjoy the view of the water.
From restaurant Panorama, you can stroll along the elevated boardwalk for panoramic views of the sea and the boats docked in the harbour. You'll spot luxury yachts, beautiful catamarans, and small boats, all equally enviable.
The harbour is also home to various art pieces, including a fun street art walk and the impressive sculpture 'La Pamela' by Manolo Valdés.
Faro del Sur is a hidden gem in the Marina and my favourite terrace. It offers a relaxed atmosphere and fantastic views of the boats.Â

Casa JudÃa's variety of colours and decorations is impressive. The building is a fine example of Valencian Art Deco with neo-Egyptian influences.
