Another great green area in the city, right next to the train station, Central Park (literal translation), is the ultimate urban garden to enjoy while visiting Valencia.
It is located beside Estación du Nord, and there is a current project to expand the public park even further. All train tracks will go underground, and when the project is completed, the area will be more than 100k square meters.
It holds a space for anything and everything: sports, picnics, dogs, dance classes, joggers, birthday parties, skaters, playgrounds, yoga classes, walkers, bike riders, cultural events, and charming sunsets. There are beautiful flowers everywhere and water areas perfect for hot summer days that will come in a few weeks.
I especially love the fact that the park is intentionally divided into sections, in which you can enjoy the activity you prefer without interference. For example, the dog section is well-identified as an area with playgrounds for children where no pets are allowed. Also, the flower garden is on one side of the park, and the vegetable garden is elsewhere, so you can easily decide what to do and where.
My favourite time of the day is near closing time when the sun is coming down. Sit by any of the palm trees and just enjoy the changing colours of the sky.
