I strongly believe everyone should have a go-to tapas bar, one with your comfort food and drinks, and this is the one for me. It also helps that the area is charming and very friendly because Tanamadana is located right next to Russafa Market (insert post), and I love spending time around here.
It's open all day long, and you can come for breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack or dinner. But be aware that there are limited hours for breakfast and lunch because different things from the menu are offered during that time, but the kitchen is open either way.
Food includes “croquetas”, “patatas bravas”, all kinds of toasts, “huevos rotos”, etc. Menu simplicity is a plus in Tanamadana. I don’t think you need to offer sophisticated or too elaborate dishes; instead, have good quality products and let them be the most important part. Some toasts and bagels have district street names, and my favourite is one called “Doña María”: avocado, pesto and burrata toast.
I love that Tanamadana is full of neighbours, people who often see each other running errands and come together for a drink or two. There is simplicity in this aspect as well, it is not pretentious at all. If the summer heat allows it, sit outside; you will have a great time.
