Okay, it is not in Venice's center, but how many people spend their holidays in Jesolo to go to Venice for only one or two days? For these people I REALLY suggest you to choose Magazzino delle Scope for one of your dinners.
Small portions, but a lot of different dishes, made with high quality ingredients and served in particular and creative combinations characterize this place. From simple but tasty vegetable soup to more particular dishes like Quinoa with pomodoro sauce and smoked eggplant cream or octopus served with green beans and grapefruit. The "Magazzino delle scope" offers small dishes (cichetti) for all tastes in an original but chic way.
This place will not just surprise your palate but also your sight. In fact you will find yourself in a fairy tale. Flowers and candles are everywhere; every single small detail is curated to contribute to the overall image. You can even find small (all different) dishes, cups, cutlery and glasses that you can buy and bring home with you. The staff, very friendly, creates an informal but nice atmosphere, that made me feel like an old friend was welcoming me home.
The first page of the menu says:
"The suitcase full of ideas is the new way of eating, small portions. Are you hungry? You try a lot. Without codes, without obligations, choose what you want. It will be prepared at the moment, and it will be served on the table with a smile".
"Santo Bevitore" is the perfect bar in Venice, whether I'm aching for an ice-cold beer or a good gin. I like how it's specialised in just a few things!

Venice has a population counter that's steadily dropping because of how the city is changing because of mass tourism. Visit it and make the realization...

"Basegò Bacaro" in Venice is one my favorite bacaros/bars in the city, and I especially like their pay-it-forward tradition of cicchetto & prosecco pagato.

"Vinaria Nave de Oro" is my neighborhood cantina where you can get a taste of a truly local 'vino sfuso'- wine from the cask or demijohn, a staple to us!
