Shopping at WINS (Wiener Inklusions- und Nachhaltigkeitsshop) in Vienna is inclusive, sustainable, and organic. The Association for the Inclusion of People with Cognitive Disabilities implemented this grocery store to break down barriers and supply shoppers with high-quality products from Austria.
In a two-year program, people with disabilities are trained as commercial assistants. The practical training takes place right in the store. Most brands you get here are organic and local. For example the delicious and famous bread from Joseph, herbs and teas from Sonnentor, chocolate from Zotter or Rapunzel , my favorite vinegar from Essigmanufaktur Oswald/Schaffer and so much more. Wonderful pestos and spreads, alpaca wool products (e.g. baby sleeping bags or socks) from Klausnerhof, or a lemongrass & ginger soap from Sodasan make great gifts.
Stop by and help make the world a better place!
You can also shop at the other branch in the 10th district Bloch-Bauer Promenade 4, close to the main train station and 24/7 in their webshop ;)
