A good movie is like good food. You won't get too much satisfaction from cheap fast food the same as you won't be too reminiscent after watching an ordinary Hollywood movie. We need a filter of some kind to cleanse out the real quality. And my best filter for movies is a neat place called Pasaka.

Pasaka is a modern movie theater which simply has a great span and taste for movies. If I see a new movie in other theaters I always have doubts if it's going to be good enough. Well Pasaka for me is a place which I believe will never disappoint me. I trust it like a recommendation from a good friend. I have never walked away after a movie thinking that it was boring or insipid.

No wonder. Pasaka without its consistent movie repertoire often organizes all sorts of movie festivals, which differ from independent artsy movies to the best advertisements in the world. And the range of genres is as wide as it might possibly get.

And now, in summer, Pasaka organizes movie previews out in the open, which is called "Cinema amongst the stars". This event is weekly and is held in the backyard of the Vilnius Contemporary Art Centre. You can get all the info in Pasaka's web page or on the spot in Pasaka.
