Vilnius is nice to be admired when walking around the narrow streets of the old town. Setting your eyes on the old pavement bricks or the details on the buildings. But that is not the last important thing you should be concerned with if you want to remember the beauty of the city. We need to look from a wider perspective.
Now the best way to do this is to hit a spot with an essentially high altitude where the view of the city would be as clear as possible. Since Vilnius has a wavy relief there are more than a dozen spots with amazing panoramic views of the city. I could spend a whole day walking you around them.
However this one is one of my favorites. Also one of the calmest too. To make this one even nicer you could begin a nice walk from St. Anne's Church (check the St. Francis & St. Anne's Church article) through Maironio street, go uphill till you reach Subačiaus street and you're already there! You will find a nice pitch with one of the most romantic views in the evening. I just adore the confluent panorama of imperfect structures of Užupis and the shining rooftops of the old town. The view is simply special and characteristic for Vilnius.
