Doesn’t it bother you when you come into a bar and they only serve poor tasting beer(s)? Well forget about it, because we are heading for the library to do some reading. Yes, you heard me right – reading, but the only thing we’ll be reading is beer labels! Beer Library (Alaus Biblioteka in Lithuanian) is the place to be.

A place always full of surprises and adventures. Some serious workload for your tasting buds! The range of beers in this bar is simply astonishing. Just name the style, there are 60 of them on the spot. The variety comes from all around the world. Most of them are bottled, but there is also a very reliable amount of 15 beers on tap. If need be check with the friendly beer gurus at the bar, they won’t let you feel disappointed.

I should also mention that Lithuanian breweries are just starting to develop in a wider variety of styles, therefore majority of the beers are from international brands. But I am still happy to say that you’ll always find more than enough goodies from our local beer scene.

And I am even happier that the Beer Library supports a sophisticated drinking policy. The importance is not getting drunk, it’s an educational crusade in understanding and enjoying the complexity of our beloved beverage – beer.

Becoming a library member was never considered to be so cool. But I might say it’s a good time to rethink things. Mark the spot on the map!
