Me and coffee have sort of a romantic thing going on between us. I miss her when she is not around. She helps me to get by during hard times. And I adore going on dates with her...
Feeling similar? Then I have a perfect date spot for you coffee lovers – it's Taste Map. The name represents the place in the best possible way. They have the widest range of coffee beans I've ever seen in Vilnius. And the beans are brought there by their very own Taste Map roastery, which ensures they're always fresh.
Neat industrial interior and baristas worth praising - it's all there! The spot is located slightly further from all of the fuss of the old town, so for me it's even more appealing, because they are concentrating on the customers engaged in product quality, rather than the ones interested in convenient touristy spots.
Back to coffee. Taste Map has a brilliant brew bar where they use different techniques for full disclosure of bean characteristics. But if you're interested in a simple espresso or a flat white, don't worry, you'll still be impressed. The impression might be elevated even higher after trying out some of the sweets they serve. One of those and an aeropressed Ethiopian Tarba is my winning combo.
But you know what the best thing is? After such a lovely date you're guaranteed to take it to the next base – a meeting at the breakfast table (they also sell their coffee on spot!).
