From the creators of the legendary Chłodna 25 comes BarStudio. Nothing will ever make up for the loss of Chłodna 25 which was really a trailblazer on the Warsaw cultural-bar scene, but even though the owners of Chłodna finally had to give it up, they did not give up completely.
Opened last year, BarStudio could not be more central. It is actually in the Palace of Culture. In other words: you can’t miss it. BarStudio took over what used to be the hall in front of the Studio Theater. Its location as well as its proximity to a cultural venue can give you a pretty good idea what sort of place it is: very Warsaw, very culture-oriented. Drop by for a coffee and breakfast in the morning, a bite to eat in the afternoon, a panel discussion in the late afternoon, a cocktail in the evening, and a really good concert at night.
The greatness of the Palace of Culture, the darkness, the marble and the minimal lighting make for interesting decor – not necessarily homey, yet not hard to ease into.
Along with its neighbor from across the square, Cafe Kulturalna, it is reminding people that culture and cities go hand in hand.
