Raj is one of my favourites in terms of spectacular, feel-good food. On the menu, you will find great bowls with fruit and veg, breakfasts, i.e. Spam Musubi, Haupia pancakes or paradise porridge. Apparently, this was the first restaurant to serve bowls in Poland. Since 2016, when it opened, a lot has changed, and there are many restaurants offering that kind of food. But to me, Raj remains special.
Based in an awful pavilion basin with declining bars and clubs, dirty backyards and forever-closed gates at the back of ul. Nowy Åšwiat, this place might really make a difference. Make sure you check out their wonderful interiors - palm trees, colourful dishes with edible flowers, lovely stylish tables. Also, there is a scene / music club / place to hold events and fashion shows called Niebo (Haeven) which just adds to the still fancy atmosphere.
Raj might be a bit tough to find - you enter the big pavilion-like building on its Southern side, opposite the public Janusz Korczak School. The place is located just on the back of Nowy Åšwiat 2,1 and you can enter through one of the gates from ul. Nowy Åšwiat.
