Probably one of the most famous theaters in Warsaw, with several scenes around the city, one in Wola district and the others in the Srodmiescie, Teatr Dramatyczny is the place to be for all theater lovers. The one this spot is about is located in the Palace of Culture and Science in the ground floor just opposite Kafe Kulturalna.
It's worth a visit because of the way the Palace is lit, its three seated floors and the quality of the plays.
The spectacles are of a very specific taste and their reception is often controversial. The last two performances I attended were about Polish-Nazi cooperation during WWII and the "cabaret" before WWII, respectively.
Obviously the dramatic past of the city has an impact on the choice of plays and I suppose there is still time to go before the trauma of the Nazi invasion has completely passed.
Tip: go to watch a performance on a cold winter evening and then have a drink at Cafe Kulturalna.
