This is probably my favorite place to play golf in the whole world.
The East Potomac Golf course is great. First and foremost, the view is amazing. The course has the Anacostia River on one side and the National Mall on the other. If you go to play a traditional round of golf, you'll have the backdrop of several national monuments as you move from hole to hole.
My second favorite thing about the East Potomac Golf course is it is incredibly affordable. If you've ever played golf before, you know it can be very expensive. Mini golf is $8, the driving range is $5, and a 9-hole round is about $40 (this includes clubs).
I typically prefer to play a round of golf with friends, which means, most of the time I end up going to the course alone and hitting balls at the driving range. In my experience, the driving range (which has two levels) always has bays available.
If you're really not into traditional golf, the driving range, or the practice putting greens, the East Potomac Golf course also has a mini-golf course. Kids are welcome there.
There's no Metro Station there, so you'll need to drive. Parking at the course is free. If you can't drive, you'll need to get a ride.
