Port City isn't just one of my favorite beer companies locally, it's one of my favorite beer companies anywhere.
Many of the local bars, restaurants, and grocery stores in the DC area sell Port City beer. That said, you should still visit the brewery if you can. It's one of the bigger breweries in the area in terms of space. They have a large taproom inside the building that's two floors. They also have a large outdoor area with plenty of tables and heating lamps when it's cold.
They have a selection of beers that are available all year and several others that are available on a rotating basis. My personal favorite is the porter. I really like the Colossal® IX Weizenbock as well. If you get hungry, they've got a few snacks you can buy.
To get there, you'll either have to drive or get a ride (i.e. Uber, Lyft, taxi, etc). There isn't a Metro Station close by, but there is plenty of street parking.

The menu hosts a bevy of dumplings and small plates, heavy on veg - we loved the eggplant-based buranee bademjan as well as the gulpee!
