The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, is the city's premier performance venue, providing approximately 3000 performances every year. The Millennium Stage, which is a performance series as part of the Kennedy center provides FREE performances every day, all year long at 18:00 every evening.
As someone who loves and admires art in all forms, I am constantly impressed and thankful for the diversity and quality of shows that are part of the Millennium Stage series. Whatever your interest in the performing arts – dance, music, storytelling, plays, comedy – the Millennium stage will have it at some point in the year.
The Kennedy Center itself is beautiful, and is a great spot to get a view of Washington, DC from its open air terrace. There is also a bar and restaurant up there to grab a drink prior or after the show. It's a perfect spot for an evening with friends, a fun date or even to get your dose of art and culture solo. Really can't beat that!
Overall, a true gem and a must see & experience spot for anyone.
