Central Yerevan's quickly-gentrifying Saryan street is home to a new eatery: George’s DOM. While the menu offers a variety of European and Armenian dishes, what's really striking about this place is the atmosphere.
The café sticks out of the structure in which its located to create a sort of "indoor-garden" environment complete with colourful plants and flowers around a beautiful staircase capped by a huge sunroof which really brightens up the place. The rest of the decor is similarly rustic and tasteful, making it easy to forget that you're actually located in the middle of the city's downtown core.
The seafood platter offers quite a lot of variety for a country that's at least a thousand miles from the nearest body of water, and is easily enjoyed by two people.
