If you want to buy locally produced dresses for your children, don’t hesitate to visit this shop called Sharan located on one of the central streets of Yerevan. Every time I visit this shop I want to go back to my childhood and make my parents buy me all the dresses from this place, for I was born in Soviet years and did not see or have such beautiful dresses during my childhood. Well, you will understand me (if you are female and a dress lover, although as a man you are also going to like it) when you enter this small, cute shop that is already attractive from a distance because of its bright colored showcase. Their FB page can be more descriptive than my words, by the way.
The shop is named after the Armenian brand “Sharan” that makes dresses for mainly 0-8 year old kids. Sometimes you can find outfits for 12-year-olds as well. Not only are dresses available here, but also some accessories for children, woven toys, pillows and blankets. They are all made by handloom using wool and cotton as the main materials.
I think that you can easily find gifts in this shop. I have recommended this place to my tourists many times and they were delighted by its offer.
Another branch of this shop is located on Hanrapetutyan street, 48, in the building of Tufenkian Historic Yerevan hotel (10:00 - 19.30).
