In the past decade, Zagreb fell in love with good burgers. Cool, hip little burger joints opened around the city and the race for the best burger in town began. Good Food was one of them. But unlike many others, Good Food succeeded and opened two more spots in the center.
My favorite here is the Roman Holiday burger. As a fan of Italian flavors, I am a fan of this burger as well. The meat is tender and perfectly grilled, accompanied with mozzarella, arugula, sun-dried tomatoes, basil, pesto sauce and last but not least, balsamic vinegar. I also usually order some coleslaw salad as a side dish with my burger.
Besides my favorite burger, Good Food offers soups, sandwiches, salads and desserts. Here I always leave some room for dessert, because they are made by pastry chef Tea Mamut. Her panna cotta is so tender, creamy and lightly sweet that I could eat it every single day.
On cold days, I recommend some warm soup of the day and on hot days one of their cold-press juices. They are great to-go. My choice is to order and eat inside because the interior is really fun and the big windows are perfect for gazing outside. The wait for the food is never long and every time it tastes the same. That is why I keep coming back for more.
