The Polybahn is a really fun thing to do in Zurich that doesn't take much of your time. The Polybahn is a funicular that was created in 1889. With an average slope of 23%, it takes you from Römerhof to Bergstation Dolder Bahn. In 1976, its finances were not looking good, and they were about to close. Just as UBS bought over Credit Suisse in 2023, UBS did a similar act with The Polybahn. So, thanks to UBS, you can still enjoy a nice ride on the distinctly red funicular.
The Polybahn offers breathtaking views of the city as well as fun activities. Now, I said that this attraction wouldn't take a lot of your time, but if you have some to spare, I would definitely recommend taking the Polybahn to the topmost station (Bergstation Dolder) and walking to the Kunsteisbahn Dolder. The Kunsteisbahn Dolder is my favorite ice rink. For me, the Polybahn and the Dolder ice skating rink are interconnected since I take the Polybahn to get there every time I go there.
