Toys are a big part of many people's childhood memories. The Zurich Toy Museum offers a journey through special memories with the timeline of toys. Whether you want to reminisce about your childhood or explore the toys owned by your grandparents, this museum has something for all generations.
A visit to the museum will give you an insight into different eras. But unlike in other museums where history is displayed in texts, pictures, and films, in this museum, you see history through the eyes of children, especially in the form of their toys. For example, old dollhouses show how domestic life used to look like and dolls fashion. Train sets and steam engines reflect the beginnings of technology. It's a unique way to look at history or simply look at the toys. The museum is quite small, but the owner puts a lot of effort into quality. Call it "small yet refined." Despite its size, it's definitely worth a visit.
