Reggev Hummus serves exactly what the title says – the ultimate hangover food in the form of various dishes focused on Hummus. It’s perfect for those days when you wake up with a really bad hangover and need to recover. The food alone is enough to help you forget all those things you shouldn’t have done the night before, but the small relaxed atmosphere also helps.
Last time I visited Reggev Hummus I ordered the Mixed Plate with minced meat and pine nuts, labane hazilim, reggev lettuce, tomato and pepper stew, a boiled egg, tahini, parsley and coriander (175 SEK, though most of their dishes cost around 100 SEK). The ingredients say it all, I think. The food is very healthy and nutritious which isn’t ordinarily what you crave for when you’ve got a hangover, but trust me – it’s super tasty and “saucy”. Also, like most of my favourite spots, a lot of the dishes here are vegetarian.
Reggev Hummus is a small cubbyhole located right next to one of my other favourite spots, Delimundo Cevicheria, both of which are close to Vitabergsparken so it’s perfect to get something to go during summer and lay out in the sun. At the same time, during winter Reggev Hummus is a great spot to hide away from the cold and dark days you only experience here in Stockholm. If the food, colourful interior and a nice espresso don’t make you feel happy, I don’t know what will.
