There are definitely more than a few bars in the world named after Charles Bukowski. But is it a bad tendency? I guess it doesn’t matter at all if we are speaking about a proper bar in general. And a definite proper one is the Bukowski bar in Vilnius!
I almost can’t remember how many times I’ve spent there. And I won’t be arguing the fact that this is highly influenced by their long working hours and location quite close to my home.
But besides the convenience Bukowski will offer you the best hot dogs in town. I am serious about it. Always fresh and with a different twist on the flavour. You will certainly have a great chance to quench your thirst with a great local/foreign beer (on tap or bottled) or something heavier if need be. All of that at very reasonable pricing combined with happy people behind the counter.
There is also one very important thing to note if you’re a table foosball junkie. Bukowski is the spot if you want to challenge a few of the better players in town. But don’t worry too much about your skills, because drinking usually works in favour of the weaker team. And hey, playing foosball here is absolutely free!
P.S. A recommendation for a combo visit of two places. Head to a bar called Dėvėti for your first drink and go to Bukowski afterwards. Both places are awesome and very close to each other. No sleep till morning!
