No, it's not a typo in the title, it is a bostel. Or am I the only one calling it like that? It's a hostel on water. A boat hostel. Bostel. I mean, you can sleep in it, but you can also get a drink and enjoy a view to Kalemegdan, close to the Sava river.
Arkabarka Bostel is located close to the confluence of the rivers Sava and Danube, and yes, you can find it on any site that offers rooms in Belgrade. But what you can't find are some of the things that an ex-employee (me) can tell you about it.
First of all, as always: beer. There are tons of craft beers that you can try there. All of them are Serbian and have a great fruity taste. I used to work night shifts there so I can tell you how it is to watch the sunrise from the Great War island that is across the Bostel. There is a photo in this article that shows sunrise, but it's not even close to the live version of it. I recommend you combine it with a deck chair and a coffee or a beer.
The thing that's also nice about this place is the interior. Every part of the Bostel is hand-painted by an artist. There is not a single room that looks the same as any other.
But, again, my favourite part is the sunrise (or sunset), depending on when you step by.
