Užitak has been my friends' and my go-to place for a to-go coffee (hehe) ever since we "graduated" from the sugary world of caramel macchiatos and double mochas (although we still partake every now and then) and wanted just a simple cup of a well-made and good quality espresso drink.
Užitak is located on Hilandarska Street, a beautiful Stari grad street, which is a great, albeit a little hidden, street to walk around on a sunny day. Being in between my friends' places and my own, Užitak is always somehow on the map while we're looking for a place to sit down or pick up a cup of coffee, and more often than not, we end up visiting this tried-and-true coffee shop.
Užitak has been open for years now, but it still somehow feels novel to visit. Its coffee is consistently great, the staff is always extremely friendly and enthusiastic about their work, and best of all, the place never seems too crowded, should you decide to forgo the paper cup and sit down for a chat in the pretty, modern interior. For those on a break from caffeine, there are plenty of freshly squeezed juices to choose from. To top it all off, make sure to try one of the cookies on offer, they go really well with the delicious cappuccino.
