After a long walk on a hot summer day exploring the MIT campus, I found myself searching for something to drink when a charming, glass-fronted café caught my eye. Without hesitation, I stepped inside. True to its name, Gypsy Place embodies a wandering spirit, like a hidden treasure waiting to be uncovered.
The café exudes a bohemian vibe, and its menu is just as vibrant. It offers a variety of breakfast and brunch options packed with fresh vegetables, enticing juices and smoothies made from seasonal fruits, açaí bowls, baked goods, and, of course, an extensive selection of coffee. Whether you’re in need of a detox, an energy boost, or some antioxidant support, this spot has you covered. For those looking to try something unique, the “Azurite Bowl” is a great choice. This vegan delight combines pineapple, avocado, banana, and blue spirulina powder, topped with coconut, organic chia seeds, and goji berries.
Regretting that I had already eaten breakfast, I settled for a coffee and a serving of “Tiger’s Eye Truffles.” The rich flavour of these vegan treats—made with organic peanut butter powder, organic cocoa powder, organic maple syrup, and vanilla—lingered on my palate, leaving me eager to return.
Established in 2018, Gypsy Place Coffee & Juice Bar is one of the few juice bars in Cambridge, making it a must-visit for those seeking delicious vegan options. If you’re looking to add a sweet touch to your Boston experience, this spot is definitely worth checking out.
