Kadarka (a variety of Hungarian red wine) is my first thought when I'm meeting up with friends or planning a business meeting. This wine bar has a welcoming and homey atmosphere. The waiters always perceive the situation well: when I'm with my wife, just the two of us, they let us be, and when I'm just enjoying a glass of wine alone, they are more talkative.
I have been seeing the same manager and bartenders in the last few years, and that is something I truly appreciate in a business. They will be your guide if you need advice; I have only good experiences from when I asked them for help.
They also serve food, so you can have a full dinner here if you'd like. I enjoy trying different cheeses and sausages I don't already know.
As a wine guy who loves tasting, I just enjoy the 100+ opened bottles available to try in tasting portions. You can also buy individual bottles for reasonable prices, and what's on offer you'll definitely never find at a supermarket.
This is one of the few places where many locals go when they're downtown due to its quality, charm and location.
