The place I want to share with you now feels like I’m giving away a well-kept secret of the town… When I go down here it feels like I need to give a password to get in there. This spot is located in the basement of Eötvös Loránd University, and I was fortunate enough to be introduced to this hidden gem by a dear friend who once walked these hallowed halls as a student.
The café is just a jump away from Károlyi Kert, one of Budapest's oldest gardens with some greenery. Visiting the café before or after your stroll through the garden promises to be a great addition to your day!
Whether you're a first-time visitor or a regular, you can find an excellent selection of sandwiches waiting to add some variety to your daily routine. Coffee and great vibes are also available.
The prices here are really student-friendly, so you won't have to break the bank to enjoy a delicious meal. You will also have a great chance to avoid the chaos of the city and to enjoy some relaxation and serenity.
And keep an eye out for the friendly resident cat, adding an extra touch of charm to your visit.
