It is pretty easy to find many fast food restaurants in Madinet Nasr. Whilst it is not as easy to find a restaurant with a taste of homemade food to enjoy with my friends in one of the Qahwa (coffee shop) or for playing PlayStation, we were trying to find one. And we did find it! I really recommend Bab Rezq as it’s very cozy with a delicious menu of Arabic and Egyptian food.
For me, their best dish is Makmor with sausage, liver or both, made in a pot casserole with onion and potato and cooked with bread, the Egyptian way. You can also try different kinds of Fattah with meat or chicken.
I have also tried many kinds of sandwiches, like Hawawshi and Kofta with the normal Egyptian kinds of salads and soups.
During Ramadan, they offer late meals for fasting, and that includes the most famous Egyptian dish, Ful medames (fava beans) with egg or liver or sausage, in addition to omelettes and falafel.
Bab Rezq also has a very cozy, colorful decorative style with wooden chairs and various Egyptian paintings on the walls.
